Welcome to The Wildwoods
Vacation vibes all summer and a private off-season experience.
For the young and the young at heart, The Wildwoods is everything a beach community aspires to be. There are five miles of white-sand beaches, 38 blocks of boardwalk fun, and great dining and nightlife. Whether this is your address all year long, or you come to relax every summer, you’ll find life both mild and wild in The Wildwoods. There’s lively energy here, complemented by a sense of east coast history and annual cultural events. From North Wildwood’s historic and Victorian-style Hereford Inlet Lighthouse to the peaceful, family-oriented Wildwood Crest to the Lower Township, known as the “Birthplace of South Jersey,” The Wildwoods offers fun in the sun, while at the same time ensconcing residents in the legacy of luxurious beach living on the Jersey Shore.
Dining, Entertainment & Shopping
There’s something going on every day at Mud Hen, from margarita specials to Whiskey Wednesdays. Stick around for the famous BBQ ribs and smoked wings alongside a skillet of mac-n-cheese. Another “Down the Shore” favorite, Dog Tooth serves classic bar fare and fresh seafood entrees. Craving pizza? Be part of the family at locally owned Poppi’s, dishing out brick-oven Neapolitan pizza. The distinctive Blue Pig Tavern is known for hearty breakfast, lunch, and dinner favorites served in the Congress Hall building, once operated as a tavern for whalers.
Now that you’re all fueled up, how about some shopping? Treat yourself to new beach gear - or a new surfboard or skateboard - at the local institution, Kona Surf Shop. This is the epicenter of the New Jersey surf scene and owner Mike Sciarra stays at the forefront of surf and street culture in the state and up and down the east coast.
